ABOUT THE CLUB
The Iguana Mountain Biker's Club is primarily geared for those who love the sport of mountain biking, but also includes anyone seeking an active lifestyle. The club is centered at the Iguana Ranch Guesthouse, a beautiful, rustic clubhouse nestled in a 7.5 acre picturesque hideaway in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, home to some of the best mountain biking in B.C., or in Canada for that matter. The Mountain Biker's Club provides economical hostel style and guesthouse accommodations, delicious world-fusion meals, fix-it shop, an outdoor hot tub, wood sauna, party space, trampoline, weight room, bike trails/park/maps, badminton & darts, bonfires, rental mountain bikes and an ultra cool bus! Photos of our famous MTB jumps are featured quite frequently on Pink Bike and NSMB and video can be found on YOUTUBE and MYSPACE. Cyclists, check our calendar of events for spring and fall biker's accommodations specials bring your group our way, we'll fix you up with maps and make it worth your stay! As a member of the mountain biking club you have the privilege of socializing at the clubhouse during open season, attending drop-in dinners, joining in or creating group adventures, and attending all social events. Events in the past have included our Season Opening Party, New World Disorder movie premier, filming for Drop-in, and The Ride Guide, big air jump competitions, Mountain bike camps for women and teens, shuttles on Mount Prevost, group rides on the Zoo (Mt. Tzouhalem), cycling tours, vineyard tours, tubing the Cowichan River, hosting Island Cup racers, and various other activities. Members are invited to make the clubhouse their home away from home, while abiding some simple and respectful rules. Some of our members help out instead of paying full fare, so if you have some skills that we can use--suggest it to us. I'mBC
